Hall Effect Zero Speed Sensors
Hall, Zero Speed
These active sensors are available in two separate configurations for sensing either ferrous targets or magnets. These sensors produce a digital output (square wave signal) at the same rate as targets passing by.
Sensors triggered by ferrous targets are magnetically biased and will detect power transmission and timing gears, engine flywheels, bolt heads, shaft keyways, or any significant change in the target surface.
Sensors triggered by magnets will detect magnet wheels / collars, embedded magnets, and electromagnets.
Dual sensor options offer a second sensing element that can be used for redundancy, driving two systems, or quadrature signal (when correctly aligned). Directional output versions offer two output signals and a calculated direction signal.
Electrically ruggedized versions are also available for automotive and other critical applications.
A special Linear Hall Effect sensor can detect distance and orientation of a target magnet.
Intrinsically Safe and Explosion/Flame Proof versions are also available for Hazardous Locations.
